Lapwings is a new build, 250 m2 three storey beach house in Camber Sands. The new house will sit behind the SSSI planted conservation area, which separates the house from the only sand dune system beach in East Sussex.

The new build home includes recessed south facing balconies to the beach front with a roof top terrace. The plans provide 5 bedrooms, with open plan living on the ground floor and a family room on the first floor overlooking the sea. To the rear is a separate detached studio annex. Externally there is a private courtyard and a rear sunken terrace with fire pit and outdoor kitchen. The materials include a combination of fair faced exposed concrete with horizontal and vertical larch cladding and cement fibre cladding. The designs also include many sustainable and renewable technologies including solar panels, ground source bore hole heat pumps, living planted roofs and high levels of natural insulation.
