The George Hotel is a Grade II listed building in the town centre. The project involved extending and upgrading the building to include an enlarged restaurant and kitchen facilities and additional bedrooms and suites. Detailed design and planning work was undertaken to deliver an award– winning hotel and restaurant facilities.

Conservation works were integral to the proposals, which included a shop unit on the high street. Detailed studies were commissioned and extensive negotiations were carried out to secure the planning and listed building consent from Rother District Council and English Heritage.
